Abigail Tennant, J.D.

Abigail Tennant is a graduate of the University of New Brunswick Faculty of Law (J.D. 2023) and Dalhousie University (B.A. 2019). A current licensing candidate with the Nova Scotia Barristers Society, she brings a broad legal foundation with a particular focus on civil and family litigation, including personal injury, institutional abuse, and class action claim disputes.

An excellent researcher, Abigail has a keen eye for detail and strong skills in legal writing, policy analysis, and document preparation.

She has a strong interest in environmental law, access to justice, and public interest advocacy. During law school she served as Founder and Chair of the Chronic Illness & Disability Association, Chair of the Environmental Law Society, and completed an 8-week intensive with the Pacific Centre for Environmental Law & Litigation.

Abigail brings lessons from her diverse work experience, including her political work, government internships, and non-profit program administration, into her legal practice. When not working, you can usually find her reading a book, exploring a vintage store, or watching Law & Order.
